Castiglioni, Achille (1918 - 2002)
The Italian designer joined his two brothers' studio in 1944. Their creative philosophy was dominated by the idea that it was crucial to analyse the object's function and production process before designing it by making sure to stop “where you could not do less”. Their creations were often inspired by everyday objects which clearly evoked the humoristic and ironic ready-made works of art.
